Oh morning smoothies, how I love you! When we were away last week I really, really missed my morning smoothies. They just make me feel great, and are a fantastic way to start the day on a healthy foot. I always add a scoop of probiotic powder in all my smoothies, because it’s so amazing for health and balance.
Health highlight of oranges: Oranges are high in antioxidants, have been linked to cancer prevention, promote heart health, and are full of flavanoids that are anti-inflamatory, and prevent cell mutation (that leads to disease). Pretty great stuff from such a common little fruit!!
2 cups Blueberries (I like to use frozen)
2 cups Water
Orange Juice from 1 orange (about ½ cup)
10 baby Carrots
- Toss all the ingredients into blender
- Blend until smooth
- If you need to thin it out, add water, if you want it colder/thicker add ice
