I love chocolate.  I think it loves me back.  I like to imagine it does…

I have totally mentioned it a bunch, so I hope I don’t sound like a broken record.  If I do, just give me a good shake (seriously I didn’t intend that pun) and I will cut it out.  Anyway, Hubby and I have been trying to limit our sugar.  To be honest, we were eating more than we realized so we are trying to be more aware and conscious.  Since we have been more aware and therefore eating less, it has made a huge difference for me (and him too).  I am sure I will do a whole post on it down the road.

The problem is, I want chocolate.  Lots and lots of chocolate.  So this drink, which I would liken to a milkshake, is my bff.  I even drank it while I was on my cleanse!

It is rich, and chocolatey, and I didn’t need to add any sugar because I thought the banana added the perfect amount of sweetness.  Plus, I didn’t even taste the banana, so it was like a super sneaky serving of fruit!!!

I made Hubby try it (he is a fruit/sorbet person, so this is not really his thing) and he said he would like it a little sweeter, which is why I called for some sweetener if you feel the same way.  I have a high tolerance for super dark, rich chocolate so I was all about it with just the banana.

This week totally flew, and somehow it’s Friday already!! I hope you have an incredible weekend!!

Health highlight of bananas:  Bananas are known for being a good source of potassium.  Potassium is an important nutrient because it helps lower blood pressure, and is used in the process of muscle contraction and nerve communication.  It is also helpful in the balance of pH in the body, and so also can help prevent the loss of calcium.  Bananas are a good source of soluble fiber which helps to lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and can be helpful in the regulation of blood sugar.  Bananas have also been shown, because of the synergy of a few nutrients, to be very helpful in stomach upset.
