I didn’t see the Golden Globes this weekend, but was so happy for Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman for their wins. I saw Les Miserable about a week ago and absolutely loved it. I was afraid it would be too sad, but even though it was sad, it didn’t make me feel depressed. I walked out of the movie feeling so, so lucky for the amazing life I have. I also haven’t stopped listening to the soundtrack ever since. I crank the music up and sing along at the top of my lungs, which I pretend that people in the parking lot can’t hear. Let’s just say I don’t have the voice of Anne Hathaway. Clearly that doesn’t stop me though!
Health highlight of bananas: Bananas are known for being a good source of potassium. Potassium is an important nutrient because it helps lower blood pressure, and is used in the process of muscle contraction and nerve communication. It is also helpful in the balance of pH in the body, and so also can help prevent the loss of calcium. Bananas are a good source of soluble fiber which helps to lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and can be helpful in the regulation of blood sugar. Bananas have also been shown, because of the synergy of a few nutrients, to be very helpful in stomach upset.
